Third Tri’s a Charm!

Wow we’ve already began the third trimester! Everything’s been going great, nothing much to report. Glucose test is Monday, and then it may be bi-weekly appointments. I also have an intro appt at a new OB office, in hopes I will like it better. Crazy to think in only 3 short months, our new family member will be here. I’m still counting on February, although all the ladies in my online mom group keep going into labor, this early! Well, most are around 30 weeks by now. I think I will go the full 40 weeks, and kinda looking forward to the whole going into labor process this time.

To celebrate today, I ordered baby’s carseat and our double stroller. I’m super excited, but think I’m the only one so far; Kyle and Harper don’t pay attention when I show them online. Next purchases will be for the nursery, and Harper’s new carseat. She needs an upgrade and this one has the best ratings, so I’m sure it’s even safer. She can stay rear until 40 pounds, so I’m sure it will be a while until she turns forward. I put it on a registry, so I could get a completion coupon and BRU gives additional store credit toward stuff bought. Tomorrow is the last day of the 20% off all regular priced items, so I took advantage!

We have an extremely busy next two weeks, followed by a week where I have nothing planned, except staying home working on orders, and potty training! I feel like a whole week with no other obligations will really be beneficial in her progress with that. Then comes the mattress and sleeping in new bed! :-O

I have three craft shows all in one week! Also dealing with a business name change that I’m about to announce, and starting to take Christmas orders so I can stay organized and on top of that. Hope to sell a lot at the shows! That will for sure keep me busy  for the rest of the year.

Speaking of Christmas.. is it too early to decorate??! I’m definitely one of those people.

Here and Gone.

Well yesterday was my would-have-been due date. Thought the day would never come, but if it was God’s plan, I would probably be holding a newborn right about now. Me and Kyle look at each other and shake our heads thinking about it, because we couldn’t imagine a newborn at this moment. We definitely need a few more months to finish the house! Although, we would have been more prepared, if that was the case. All the girls around my due date have had their healthy babies. I feel a little jealous, but not really because this time everything is perfect and I’ll have another January (or February) babe. I have basically been pregnant this whole entire year, minus a month or so. Lucky for me, being pregnant is somewhat enjoyable. The last reminders of that loss are here and gone, as well as the last worrisome doctors appointment, I hope.

Oooh, by the way! Everything is perfect! That’s the last result I got from the Maternal Fetal Medicine Doctor. All measurements of the head and whatnot they were worried about were completely normal. Baby was measuring a couple days ahead, and he is still a boy! A whopping 12 ounces. I get to see him again next month, just to do a follow up.

Still no real progress on his name. Harper and I have been calling him Knox. It’s my favorite, though last I heard Kyle was stuck on Lincoln. And we still are thinking of Henry. We are not in love with any name yet, so it makes it hard.

It’s kind of funny when people ask me how much longer I have, because I just now am counting down, so I have about 19 weeks left.. they reply “oh!” Because it’s still a ways away. I think it will go by quickly with the holidays, though! Just a couple weeks will be our Florida vacation, then craft show, Halloween, craft show, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Harper’s birthday, baby. Boom, boom, boom! It’s going to fly by, so I’m being pretty patient and enjoying my last few months with an only child.

Speaking of which.. I have a LOT to do before January 31st. I only have 8 orders left to finish on Etsy, and probably 8 local orders, and then I’m thinking of putting a vacation notice up for about 3 weeks, until we get back from Florida. I literally have NO time to do extra stuff, and barely get my local orders finished. And it’s not even because I’m so slammed, but because I put off making frames, and getting new floors put us behind because the house was torn up for a couple days. I need the time away from Etsy to work on the upcoming craft show and spend some QT with Harper, and my grandmother who’s been in the hospital, and my other grandmother who moved aallllll the way to Cross Plains. I also would like to finish decorating the main rooms in the house, start on the nursery, transition Harper to her own room, and begin potty training! Fun.. all in the next month or two.

Can’t wait to post some pictures of the freshly painted, newly floored, redecorated living room!!
